There is no Save As function when editing your medical records template to save a new version and keep the old. However, if you forget to backup your working template before editing, you can still go to the med rec utility and make a back-up of the original template while you are in edit mode as long as you haven't saved your changes yet.

Another good tip on saving - To do a quick save press F2 or go up to File->Save That way you don't have to stop editing and save changes & go back in.
This has been a lifesaver for me!! I do a quick save all the time. That way if I fill up the memory cap while in edit mode and Crystal has to restart I didn't lose anything. Also since there is not an undo button, if you have to close out without saving you don't have to lose much work.

Thanks Erica,
I can't tell you how many times I have lost work by not having (or knowing about) a quick save...or even more times I have hit the wrong button that moves every field on the page after having spent an hour arranging them exactly how I wanted.

Yes, regular saves with F2 can really bail you out if some disaster happens when moving fields, etc (an Undo function would be much appreciated). But I'm pretty sure that will overwrite your existing template and that saving with the med rec utility as I described above with not save your original once you hist F2 so MAKE SURE you back-up your existing template before editing.
