Hi Kristen,
Let's say I saw Mr. Smith 04/01/2015 for a "full exam". The recall type "adult spec exam" created a recall for him for 03/01/2016. With that recall type, I added 3 actions. 1) Create an email on the day of the recall. 2) Create a letter to be sent out on the day of the recall. 3) Create a phone recall 3 weeks later.
On 03/01/2016, I run the recall report. Does the report only contain the email and letter recall for Mr. Smith? Would the phone recall action be excluded until the report is run later? Let's say Mr. Smith did make his appt and I run the recall report on 03/22/2016. Would this recall report still how him on the phone report? Or would Crystal know to exclude him from this recall report since he already made an appt?

We pre-appoint our patients a year after their comprehensive eye exam. How can I set up a recall/reminder to send the patient a postcard/email/text based on a future appointment? We remind them a month before their pre-appointed exam to have them contact the office to keep, reschedule or cancel that upcoming appointment.

So if you want to set it up to pull a month before the appointment, that's the date you put in. Then you make your recall card template read however you want (you have an appointment on....)You can add fields like the patient's name and address into a Word doc, but you there is not a field for 'next appointment' (we have been asking for years...) I have to add them in manually every month when I run my reminder cards. That said, when you run recall, there is a confirmation report which does pull from the schedule dates. You set the dates for the month desired and select confirmation report. I use that one and send them to my Word doc postcard. Then I print them all out and mail them on individual days a month before the appointment.

Not sure where to ask this but is there a way to save patient emails in a spreadsheet for email marketing?

You can export patient emails that are saved in Crystal by going to Reports - Correspondence Report - uncheck Valid Email and select Yes - Generate - Print List to File and save as a .csv that will open in Excel.

Is there a way to "bold" a portion of the recall letter? I tried HTML coding and it doesn't work... only thing I knew to try! haha!
