We used to upload patient files at the end of each exam and switched to using the Medical Records Report for mass uploading. We have seen that our Meaningful use Core #7 has now dropped for timely access, even though the files are uploaded the next business day. If I pull a patient the files show as uploaded. What other criteria have to be met for Crystal to recognize this as accomplished beyond using the Medical Records Report to Upload?

I would start by running the meaningful use report and double clicking on the measures percentage which should bring up a list of all the patients whom are being included in the data sample, some highlighted in green meaning they met the requirement for that measure, and others NOT highlighted in green which would be missing the requirement. From there maybe you can see if there is any correlation or corresponding reason why some of the patients showing up as not uploaded are showing up that way. For example maybe a bunch are from a single days batch, then you will know that for some reason that days uploads went bad... This is anecdotal, and may not be a solution, but I have noticed that if for some reason I already have a pdf open on my computer like someone's VSP benefits for example, when I am in a patients chart and I hit the upload medical record button it gives me an error saying that function is not available for some reason. If I close the previously open pdf and hit the button again it will allow me to upload.. I am curious if on occasion you possibly have another pdf open on your desktop when you happened to upload medical records at the end of the day and that caused the whole upload to misfire... It is really the only thing I can think of, sorry I am not more helpful lol
