I just posted a request for an intra-office communication tool similar to Comlite, etc. that some of you may be interested in: crystalpm.proboards.com/post/5244/threadPlease click and give it the thumbs up if you think it would be beneficial!

I absolutely agree with the above poster who requested that previous messages be retained for a time. If I have a message screen up and am auto-logged out, I can't get that info back. (Also, I've found the right click option for "show previous messages" to be non-functional). The other addition we'd love to see in the instant messenger would be to display a person's status (signed-in vs. logged off).

Anyway we can get the instant message to pop to the front of the recipient's screen? When we use it the recipient has to actually select 'messages' which sort of defeats the purpose. It's also pretty darn slow... though that could be because of our internet connection. 2nd this. I HAVE THE SAME QUESTION. I TOO, WOULD LIKE THE MESSAGE TO POP UP IN FRONT OF THE RECIPIENTS SCREEN.

I HAVE THE SAME QUESTION. I TOO, WOULD LIKE THE MESSAGE TO POP UP IN FRONT OF THE RECIPIENTS SCREEN. Make sure you select either computer or person logged into computer in admin. Under company, I believe... it's been a while. Then make sure instant message is logged in for use on all computers. Regular messages are an option but they are the only ones you have to hit messages to see. Im works like Google's message interface. We have it open all the time and have multiple windows/conversations at one time... instead of healing across the room for a question. Just shrink in background or keep off to side so it's in view all the time.

If anyone wants a better messenger service and is interested in a third-party app, I use BeeBEEP (I'm not affiliated with them, I just like it). It is free, encrypted, offline, has message history, can be set to pop up on top of all windows, supports Windows/Mac/Linux, and is pretty easy to set up on multiple PC's. Website is beebeep.sourceforge.net/P.S. No idea if it is allowed to promote freeware here, but I get no monetary benefit from promoting it and I'm not on here much so if you need to feel free to delete this post.
