Latest Cloud update has a new button in the Admin-E-Prescribe area that says "Send all future Appointments". What happens when this button is clicked?

The button in question is located in Admin->E Prescribe->Send All Future Appointments If you are using the integrated version of AllScripts, you have the option to import the patient's medication and allergy history from AllScripts into Crystal. This is done in the Drug Rx Tab->click CCR. You can then check off what you would like to import and the info will transfer into the medication and allergy grids. This works great, but it can take 1-3 days for AllScripts to send the info to Crystal and make it available for import. The trigger that initiates the request for info is clicking the eRx button in Drug Rx. This is obviously a great idea but not realistic to either a) go into the patient's chart 1-3 days before the visit to initiate the process of making the info available in Crystal or b) importing the info 1-3 days after their visit once the Hx are available. The Send All Future Appointments button initiates the process so that you will be able to pull up the patient's info on their date of service (assuming that the appointment is 1-3 days away ). Keep in mind that right now this is a fairly manual process. So if you Send all future appointments today but then schedule new appointments, those wouldn't be included. You'll need to press the button again. *The plan for this is further development so that when an appointment is scheduled, this will automatically take place but we are not quite there yet. I hope this helps!
