Hi Group!
I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I am working on records templates and I see things I like on different shared templates.
My question: is it at all possible to select parts or certain tabs from the many shared templates and add the tab to my current record template?
For instance, I saw one that had a very simple post operative visit tab that I would like to utilize. Another had a Rx Recheck tab that would be nice to use.
I am trying to avoid having to reinvent the wheel (i.e. recreate the tab with all the boxes and dropdowns, etc.).
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Yes you can import just one tab from a template you like. When you are in the "import templates" dialog box select the office from the list that has the tab you like then click on "Add New Tab" on the ribbon of selections at the top of the dialog box. From here you can select specific Tabs to import.

But won't this become incorrect when it links to box and field numbers that you already use in your current templates for other fields?

But won't this become incorrect when it links to box and field numbers that you already use in your current templates for other fields? Any linking would need to be configured manually.

But won't this become incorrect when it links to box and field numbers that you already use in your current templates for other fields? Yes, it will create all new fields for the new tab so if you have fields representing the same data on other tabs they won't match. Any linked data will have be relinked to your FIDs and likely, any buttons will have to be redone. I highly recommend that you find a template that is a close as you can find to what you want and then manually add anything that you like from another template. If it's a simple tab it will be easy to add yourself and if it's complex, it will likely be easier to do your own that to make all the changes necessary to make it work with the rest of your FIDs. If you find a template that has good bones, you can fill in the meat as you see when and where you need to have information available. Marcia
