We have been using Crystal for about 2 months now and I have looked all over for just general questions for day to day operations in optical.
Can you print the lab order before going to the billing page?
Can you have pd's carry over from order to order?
Can the billing page, not saved, be automatically updated if you change the order?
Please help as I don't think I am being as productive as possible right now.

Once the order is saved you can print it. The pd will follow to a new order. the billing will only change is the routing slip is changed, not the order. We have had (on a daily basis) several instances of the frame upc not pulling through to the invoice, so watch to make sure the correct frame and price shows on the line item. I am assuming you are referring to the invoice as the billing page, and not the routing slip.

Settings for PD to pull from previous orders is under Admin --Defaults -- Frame Page Defaults --Here you can set options and requirements for orders. If you change something after the billing has been completed, you need to go back and then change the billing to reflect. You can edit a route slip though! You can R click on a line, delete, and then click anywhere on the list to the left and start typing at it will then allow you to double click a new line and add that to the Route slip.

thank you all for the answers. It looks like some of the settings need to be "tweeked" by our admin. Right now pd's do not auto populate and once we save a job it automatically sends us into the billing aspect of the program. It just would save a little time and make it smoother if I have them change those setting.
Again, thank you for the help.

I have another quesion. Is there a way to have the frame name print on the invoice and not just a generic "frame" print on it.

I have another quesion. Is there a way to have the frame name print on the invoice and not just a generic "frame" print on it. You can have the frame UPC show up in the "invoice notes" box along with the WS pricing. Again, something that can be set up in Admin. (I believe the frame UPC pulls from Admin -- Company -- Billing, there is a checkbox to allow or not allow printing on invoices.) Attachments:

I have another question an maybe it doesn't happen now but can it be done for future updates. When a patient is signed in, can the schedule at a glance let you know that they are? Like maybe their name turns a different color and then when they are signed out it goes back to black and has a line through it.
It would let anyone who looks at the schedule know who is here and who is done.

You need to set your schedule default daily view to Schedule View in Admin>Schedule>Settings>Save. Then you can select Switch view on the schedule page, and assign colors, etc. Switch back and forth between appt type and status with the checkbox. For our office, for example, we have signed in, signed out, confirmed, left message, missed, cancelled, year out as most of our statuses and have colors assigned for each. On appointment type, we have comprehensive new (or established), office visit, corneal health, cataract/yag post op, etc. We use the schedule view for default and add the appt type to the data showing for the patient's appt. Hope this helps! Karen
