Instead of uploading the medical record every time you see a patient, at the end of the day you can run a Medical Record Report and find a button to Upload Med Recs for the entire day. The only thing you need to make sure of is that you are marking the records as complete using the checkbox in the upper left corner.
**I'm talking to the developers trying to get a button that will upload medical records, clinical summaries as well as emailing portal information to the patients. Not sure if it's possible, but I'm doing what I can.

that would be awesome if the developer can create one button to do everything!

Gotta love the idea of uploading all the medical records for a day; with a single push of a button. Like the idea... but, I found having to hit the "OK" button after each record uploaded impractical. The latency between the record upload and hitting the "OK" is too long. FWIW, I would prefer to push the upload records button and go home.

I agree. I found it took 10 minutes to upload 15 records and I had to be there the entire time to press the OK button. It's a great option if it can be simplified and remove the OK option.

I believe there is a setting that can set new records to be marked as complete

How do you deal with duplicates when patient files were downloaded onto crystal from 2 different sources?

It is no longer necessary to click OK for each record.
You can mark all records complete from the bottom of the Daily Report.
Leslie, I'm not sure what you're referring to? Are you talking about a record being uploaded more than once to the patient portal? If so, when viewing the documents in the portal you can choose to remove a document.

Kraig I used the button to upload all medical records but after I did that it still didn't mark the records as complete. I don't see the button to mark it complete. If I mark it complete in the records then the record wont show up to upload when I run the daily report

To mark all records complete you must run the Daily Report, then at the bottom you will see a number for Open Med Recs. Click on the number and this will open a screen showing you all of your open records. Here you will find a button to close all of the records.

What benefits are you all finding to this on a given basis - daily, weekly etc?- (Why do you do it?)

Hey Charlie - I find that if I do not go in every now and then and close all the open records -my lunches don't taste as good - Oh, and it throws off the numbers on my monthly XYZ reports.
Glad you asked. I hope this is helpful.
