My doctor recently noticed that if we delete a medication that a patient is no longer taking that was listed in a prior exam, it not only deletes from today's visit but also past visits. Any way around this?

Any way around this? I had a problem with this too. You can make them inactive and they will still be available as of the date entered. I honestly don't know if it shows the date it was inactivated so you can see the range. To deal with it I added two fields, one for current meds and one for current allergies. There are pre-programmed apps that create a medication summary and an allergy summary that list the meds entered. I have a finale button for my history tab that fills in default values for anything that is empty and fills those fields with the med and allergy summaries. That way I have a record of the meds they were on at the time of the exam. Marcia

I'd like to see your templates in action. It sounds like you have anticipated many things the doc would find useful, if not for the learning curve to implement them! Awesome job!

LOL... My original took 6 mos and I ended up having back surgery for a herniated disc from sitting at the computer all my waking hours. I ended up starting from scratch, with ideas taken from a bunch of different templates that I liked. Then I kept a notebook in the exam room and made notes every time I needed information that wasn't readily available. As I started seeing return patients, I found new things I needed access to and made some more changes. Then I did a major update after Crystal's the MU2 version and I just updated for the ICD10 codes. I still make little changes but I'm about as happy with it as I can be from my end. I'd really like to see a text box that allows scroll bars but is NOT a two line box. I use a two line box for a lot of fields that may have a lot of data but then you lose the ability to autofill F9s. I would also really like to have the F9s append instead of replace. That way you could set the order of the values and you always add one later if you forget to click use multiple F9s. My biggest problem is still with the medical records output. The template is shared (under Cary Optometric) but it doesn't display properly because I used a smaller font on all my text boxes and I have the actual ARRA fields on my med rec tabs. I posted links to a YouTube demos made just before the ICD10 changes. Here they are again.
