Our office is thinking of adding the Integrated Eligibility Product from Trizetto (Gateway) to download a patients insurance information in to Crystal. Are any of you using this feature and if so can you tell me if you have found it to be helpful and accurate?

Our office is thinking of adding the Integrated Eligibility Product from Trizetto (Gateway) to download a patients insurance information in to Crystal. Are any of you using this feature and if so can you tell me if you have found it to be helpful and accurate? We recently signed up and so far it's 'ok'. You have to learn how to read the results when you pull from Crystal, it's all lumped together and you have to scroll to find deductible/deductible met info. The batching doesn't work yet, but overall it has saved time on the phone calling Medicare for eligibility. That was our main savings. At the same time, I am now able to pull in EFT payments to the Mass Insurance Check. Did not have that before and that has been very nice, especially for secondary claims with additional ANSI info. The eligibility will only work with the payers in Gateway, so be aware of limitations. If you get paper checks and payments from other sources, you may/will not be able to check eligibility in Trizetto.

Karen, would you mind posting a screen shot of how the eligibility information downloads to Crystal? Thank you!

I would if I could. I can't save screenshots to the forum. I will send to you personally, instead. Send me a message with your email.

Could someone in the know post some info on the integration details mentioned above for current users? That would be very helpful. - Charlie
