Configuration and Use of Allscripts in Crystal PM (downloadable PDF)1. There are 2 versions. The Basic version and the EMR Integrated version. You must first sign up for the Basic version, then contact Crystal if you wish to upgrade. a. The BASIC version will let you open Allscripts, log you in, then manually add/open the patient. The EMR version will open Allscripts to the correct patient or create a new patient as well as import the prescription FROM Allscripts back into the Crystal Drug Rx tab. If you are participating in Meaningful Use and prescribe more than 100 meds in a 90 day period, the EMR version is required. 2. Please sign up for the Basic version of Allscripts at erxnowregistration.allscripts.com/home.aspx?eid=79c8371d-c0d9-4a95-af9f-9f2406c39b11. a. All providers in a location wishing to be on the Basic version must be listed under a single “Master” account. To do this, 1 doctor will sign up for Basic, then go to Settings and Add User. b. All providers in a location wishing to be on the PAID version must be listed under a single “Master” account. To do this, 1 doctor will sign up for Basic, then go to Settings and Add User. 3. Once your Basic accounts are activated, you will enter the providers usernames and passwords under Admin – Employees. From this point, if you wish to upgrade to Enterprise, please contact Billing@CrystalPM.com and we can take payment and assist in the upgrade. The cost for the Enterprise version is $360/yr per provider. ONLY PAY ALLSCRIPTS FOR THE "BASIC" ACCOUNT, NEVER THE DELUXE! CRYSTAL CANNOT INTEGRATE WHEN YOU HAVE PAID ALLSCRIPTS FOR THE DELUXE VERSION. CRYSTAL WILL COLLECT PAYMENT FOR THE EMR UPGRADE.

Kraig- Your 3 pages are helpful. However, for us true computer dummies, I need more. My doctor HATES Allscripts. It is so user NOT friendly. Do you have a more detailed, step by step video? The doctor complains that he gets into the Rx and then Poof! all Rx's are gone etc , or other frustrating, time consuming errors.
Thx for any help.
