It would be of huge help for stats to know how many appts of what type were seen - don't include missed or canceled. -Monica

Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but you could create a sales report that pulled invoice data for all of your billing codes related to professional services. This should give you a total number for each type of appointment. You can also separate the data by provider if you have more than 1

Part of why we are looking at this is to track our recall rate.
We've not found an accurate way to find this number.
We use VAP and CVAP exam types for those pts who were preappointed last year that came in this year. This would still leave out those FEW pts who opt not to have us preappoint them. If they get the appointment letter and reschedule we keep the VAP as the type unless they reschedule a month out.
We've tried using "refraction" as the trigger but that is less accurate due to the fact that Medicare/Medical pts only have a refraction every other year.
I look at our schedule on a regular basis and we've found a lot of our pt exam types are VAP or CVAPs but the numbers aren't showing it. I must be missing something.
Short of manually counting, does anyone have a SUCCESSFUL way of tracking what their ACTUAL recall rate is?

Have you tried the schedule report under Reports? You can double click on all appointments after running the report. This will give you a long list but it does include the type of appointment and the status. You can Print to File which saves it as an excel doc if you wanted to do some additional filtering/sorting.
