I had a patient report today that when submitting her contact lens rebate online, they require that receipts and any documents attached must be in jpeg format. After searching through Crystal PM in my office and speaking with a member of the support team, I have discovered that the only way to upload receipts to the portal as a jpeg is to print the receipt, scan it, and upload it in the patient's files tab, because the program is coded to automatically upload receipts from the billing page as pdf documents. This strikes me as horrendously inefficient. Can this possibly be addressed in the next update?

I think pdf is the best way to upload documents into crystal bc majority of times files should be in pdf format anyways. it's odd to have records/files in jpeg bc it's not easily viewable or scrollable within the document when reviewing. maybe you can send to patient as pdf be have them convert to jpeg themselves.
