So lately we are having issues with Medicare when they are secondary. In Crystal we use the Antsy format to send to our clearing house. I am aware when we are on the CMS for we can click add antsy and make edits or add info such as the reason code for Medicare being secondary ( working age, diability ect.) however with this being said the only way we have figure out is each time we send a claim for this pt we now have to remember to do this or it will get denied. Is there a way to add this feature as a default for the insurance tab?? Or is there already a way and I just don't see it? We have only recently had an issue as I am being told medicare is cracking down. Help!! I keep forgetting to do it and there is not a line on the claim where is shows I am unsure how they get it, I was told some loop # which was like talking a different language to me.

You should get a pop up message when you set the claim to 'Ready'. I tested it on mine.

Right, but if there was a place to out the reason in crystal then we would not have to go looking for it. Don't get me wrong MOST of them its working age or spouse is working however there are some that you would have NO clue on the billing end that the pt was disability. Its time consuming to go through front desk notes and hope they even wrote it down. If not we have to call MCR IVR and listen for the reasoning.
