Please allow duplicate records to be deleted. I know we can merge patient charts but that sometimes does not meet my needs.

Start by navigating to the record you'd like to delete. Once there, select 'EHR Settings' at the top of your screen (where File, Configuration, etc. live). Next, select 'Record Information' and choose 'Delete Medical Record' Voila!

I think OP is talking about actually deleting a patient's chart as opposed to deleting an unnecessary medical record. This is a request echoed by many in the CPM user community and has been brought up on multiple occasions. It seems as though there may be some issues in terms of "compliance" preventing this ability from being added to CPM. Whether that issue lies with CMS, Crystal itself, or maybe the "drummond group" who certifies Crystal's EHR technology is still, as far as I know, an un-answered question. You can see other posts on the forum for more on this discussion here: crystalpm.proboards.com/thread/1364/zap-unused-patient

How can one delete an item from their patient portal? Go to the patient>Files> Online Portal (Add/Remove Files). You have to get the online files window open. You can select a file in the file tree, right click on it, and upload to online documents. This will open the window. From there, you can select the file you want to remove, and click remove File. Then just 'x' out of the window, you don't have to save the new file. Karen

IMO it is not at all intuitive to have to attempt to upload more files to get a window to open so that we may delete online files. After wasting 20 minutes, I found this post and while it worked, there should be a button that makes the window appear. Failing that, clicking an online file listed and selecting "remove file" should do it. Todd
