I noticed Glimpse and The Edge are metric programs that integrate with CPM and curious if others have used or are using these and welcome any feedback you might share. Don

We are an Essilor Experts practice and it uses Edge technology to track some of the metrics for that program. The Essilor version I use only tracks a few different optical related metrics, so it is not a fully featured review, but I can say that the numbers represented on the Edge dashboard vary quite a bit from our Crystal numbers. I assume this has to do with how our billing codes are categorized and broken down... Long story short, I think you could get it to integrate well, but it would require working with their tech support team to make sure your billing codes and categories can all get organized in a way that communicates well with Edge's system.

I have used The Edge for the past year. Here's my opinion:
Disadvantage (and a big one IMO): It does not accurately pull the correct numbers from Crystal. For example, the daily report in Crystal does not match my report in The Edge for payments made. It is an inflated amount on The Edge and after trying to work with the Edge programmers multiple times, it still is not giving me the correct numbers. I find it annoying to have to calculate my own office production per month and take all their numbers as a ballpark idea of how the practice is actually doing.
Advantages: Gives great detail for contact lens boxes sold, frames sold, exams performed, breakout of individual insurances and your profitability with the different insurances. Auto calculates all the important practice metrics and can track individual sales for your employees.
I get it included with my IDOC Select membership, but don't know if I would pay for it otherwise...
