Can you please make a way to remove inactive doctors from the employee list drop-downs? When we inactivate employees, their name gets removed, but the invoices/orders they made still retain the information. If I inactivate a doctor, their name disappears from the dropdowns as well, but the the doctor's past schedules disappears too!. We can't look back in the history of our scheduler anymore if we inactivate the doctor completely. Is there a way to inactivate them without losing the scheduler information? Or at the very least remove them from the employee dropdown for tasks, etc?

We had a doctor pass away. Now we want his initials to still show on pt's quick view/schedule page. MOST IMPORTANTLY - we want the doctor's schedule to show. When de-activated that doctor's work days are NOT in the schedule. It is like we did not work at all that day. It looks FRAUDULANT!!! FRAUD is serious business!!!
The other side is that we do NOT want to have that doctor as a choice to schedule current appointments. Because then the staff makes mistakes!!
So please "suspend" DOCTORS ONLY (not staff) that no longer work, so that their past schedule shows, their name is on the patient record (which DOES work now), and they are NOT an option for scheduling any services.
Frankly, we have had a series of doctors in our past and our old system you could always see the initials of the "past" doctor in everything but they were not an option to schedule. Surely Crystal can does as well??
Thank you!

I am not sure if this would work, and I am unwilling to try it in fear of it messing with any of our docs schedules as they are, but you may be able to uncheck the "schedule appointments for this employee" box on the employee page and prevent them from showing up in the appointment selection drop down. If that doesn't work, and the staff really is having an issue with selecting docs that are no longer there then maybe you could change their name in the employee set up to something very obvious like DONT SCHEDULE, and keep the same initials for your reference in the quick view tab.
I also think it would be an extremely rare circumstance, if ever, where a prosecutor or auditor would consider using a past schedule as sufficient evidence of fraudulent behavior. In fact, I have gone through an audit process before and know that the schedule was of no consequence what so ever. What does matter is that patient charts are well notated, and comprehensive. That what you bill for matches the testing and findings located in the chart. Schedules across the board, whether its crystal or not, are changed and altered constantly. Not to mention almost every single staff member has access to it. As far as reputable evidence for fraud goes, it is very low on the totem pole. That being said, I agree with you I don't think the past appointments and schedule should just be deleted. I get that future ones would be wiped out, but there should be a cut off for Crystal that prevents the past schedule from being altered.

I am having the same problem as we just had a Doctor retire and another one is leaving in a few months. I hope Crystal can make a "suspend" button so we can still see the doctors name on past invoices, appointments and records but not create new ones going forward.
