It would be so helpful to have a feature that could change the date the payment is posted when posting rather than having to edit the invoice afterwards. Very similar to the way you can change the date of a file at the time it's being uploaded. In our office at least, we like to have the date match the EFT date for banking and reconciling purposes so if we're posting those payments on any day other than the day the EFT came in, there's a very time consuming extra step of editing the invoice to change the date.

Have you tried the Mass Insurance Check yet? That feature is in there. Go to Reports - Insurance Receivable - Generate - Select Insurance Company - Mass Insurance Check. Each patient's invoice will expand to show the line items. The date field is at the bottom right of the window.

I use that for vision insurance and it's really helpful for that. But for Medicare EFTs where I'm transferring to secondary insurances and some haven't been transferred and some people need bills it's way easier to do each invoice separately. Thank you, though!!

I do both medical and vision with the MIC. It works pretty well - helpful if you stretch it so you can see more columns. It works for Medicare as well as vision, easy to bump coinsurances over to the next insurance or pt. Also, I find that opening the invoice lets me see what has been posted where at the same time. The biggest benefit is only having to enter the remit/check number, and date one time. If there is only a single payment, I can see doing individually. For multiple payments, the MIC usually works better.
