Can the Primary Care Provider field from the Patients page please be accessible or be an option in the exam Records page? Alternately, can there be a "Rolodex" field in the exam record?
The exam record and this field cannot communicate. As it stands, a technician will update a PCP field in the exam record, but this does not get updated on the Patients page. If the PCP field in the exam record could access the PCP information from the rolodex, this would simplify matters greatly.
I know I can make my letters pull PCP from the patients page and thus get fax numbers from the rolodex as well, but if a PCP is missed in the patients page I end up sending the letters to the wrong provider.

As far as a running list of PCP names, I can help with that. - Go into a medical record and click the EHR button at the top of the screen. - Open the Import Templates/Medical Rec Utility - Click on the "Generate F9s" tab - Enter a date range (bigger range = more PCP names, but slower to process) - Once the list is generated, select the field ID that corresponds to your PCP field in the records (can be found in the medical record template editor. In CrystalPM's template the FID is 13.)
This shows a list of all values entered into that field in your date range. You can do this for any field to get help create F9 lists; it is especially handy because it shows the number of times a value was used. You can then add those names to the F9 list in the Medical Record Template Editor. Just make sure if you change what data you are storing in a field (by changing templates), that you don't pick a date range that combines two different types of data. It won't do any harm, it will just be mighty confusing.
I wish the "Create F9 List" button actually worked as it would make entering the F9's much easier.
Also, I agree with Cluny that it would be much better to have access to the rolodex names for this instead of using the F9 list. It's unnecessarily redundant.

Side Note: You can also get to the "Import Templates/Medical Rec Utility" by opening the "MedRecViewer" executable file inside the CrystalPM folder.

Can the Primary Care Provider field from the Patients page please be accessible or be an option in the exam Records page? There is a button on CrystalPM's template that imports the PCP from the Patient screen and inputs it into the PCP field (FID 13). To recreate it in your own template: In the template editor add a new field with type "Button". Double-click under Fields, enter the field ID of your PCP field (13 on CrystalPM's template). Double-click under Type, enter "SD". Double-click under Action, enter "-176" Save, then add the field where you want it. Save and close the template editor.
