Since we got the new version of Crystal with the updated schedule (which we love) the appointments don't always save our changes. It has become quite a problem. The first time we started noticing it is during checking in when we knew we had signed in a patient and put notes that they passed COVID screening, yet when we go back to the schedule later they were not signed in and no notes were there. Thankfully, the “Show Log” does show that someone in fact signed in the patient and made notes, even through that was no longer saved in the appointment.
This has become a larger issue because now we’ve noticed rescheduled appointments aren’t always saving either. Again, in the show log it shows that someone moved the appointment to a new date and time, the appointment does move (I've made sure), but when we go back to the schedule a while later the appointment is back to where it was originally. This problem is intermittent and we can’t get it to reproduce every time we try.
I've contacted Crystal about the issue several times and they've told me two people can't be in the appointment at once because this will happen OR when the person not making changes (but just viewing the appointment) exits they should just "X" or "Cancel" to go out so it doesn't save anything. Our back office staff, who like to keep up on the schedule, have assured me they are not pressing save when they exit after viewing but the issue is still happening. Today I spoke to someone again who is going to have a developer take a look at the issue and I hope that they can find a way to resolve it.
If a developer reads this I want to reiterate that this was not a problem with the older version of Crystal and although we like the newer version better, I hope you can correct this glitch.
