We would like to show a primary and secondary preferred contact method in the 'patient demographics' when looking at the schedule. In order to do that, I believe the patient tab will have to be modified to allow us to enter a 'secondary' preference. Can you help me with that?
Thanks,
Michelle

There is currently only one preferred contact method available and the patient page is not editable. What you can do is set a scheduling alert for the patient. To do this go to the patient module ->Additional Info Click the add alert button and check off Schedule Page
Now when you double click their name to look at the appointment, the alert you set will pop up.
You can try it out in a test patient to see if it's something you would like to do.

Thanks Erica, but we don't want it to 'pop up'. Can you tell me if we can add this preference to the demographics info when scheduling an appt?

At this time you can not add fields to the patient record, you would need to request this in the Requests section of the forum. The requests are reviewed by our development team.

I am no longer asking about adding fields to the patient record. If you look at my reply, I am trying to add info to the 'show demo' area when looking at the scheduled appt. I don't want it to be an alert, those slow everyone down. I would like to be able to see all patients' preferred method of contact when viewing the actual appointment - forget about adding to 'pt info' (although we would still like to see that be made available).
Also, I have asked this question in the 'Schedule' forum, but have gotten no response.

My bad! Sorry adding fields to the demo info from within the Appointment window is not an option either. These requests would need to go into the request section which our developers review. Good suggestions though!

It won't help with any automated systems that are calling but you can put that info in the Alert Comment portion of the Pt Info tab and it will show up (not pop up)in red in the quick View and will also show up in the Make Appointment window and on the actual schedule if you go to Admin/Schedule/Schedule Page Defaults/schedule appt text and add <-4> (that's the field for Alert Comments) and then save. WE also use that if the appt is for a kid and the phone number is the mom's, etc. Marcia
