Hi, folks….We've been live with Crystal PM for a grand total of 3 days. Staff is enthusiastic….Grace did an incredible job of in-office teaching. I have a few easy questions: My contacts are only Cooper and Alcon, and I usually order and pay for them directly thru the manufacturer. Shall I switch to either OOGP or ABB for ease of ordering? Are their respective customer service offices effective? Payment via charge easy and safe? Which clearinghouse does everyone use? Comments or advice? I used WebSystem3 with my old system (MaximEyes)….shall I stick with them or switch to Solution Reach? (I don't like Demand Force's hard sell tactics---I can only imagine how they are with patients). We were using ODG until ABB bought them out and started charging us $12 for a TRIAL!!!! We made the switch to OOGP about 6 months ago and there were some rough starts but customer service was very pleasant and easy to deal with. They offer buying groups (which we are not a part of) or just contact ordering. Interrogation through crystal is very smooth and they offer many payment options including credit card payments to account every week, month, whatever...
It also tracks the order to make sure you ordered. It's a few more steps but worth the ease of use. Doctor adds order in so all you have to do is create new order and send via OODG. Easy and reduces errors in data entry.
My doctor only adds the generic info for the contacts in (he is not computer savvy) but the search inventory button that pops up has ALL of his data at the top so you don't have to wonder what to order. Or you can train your dr to do that part as well and make your life VERY simple.
The note about email me direct if you have a issue needing a quick fix or a work around until resolved still stands.
