I would like to start tracking how people have heard about us. Yelp, Facebook, Insurance, website, etc. I want to be able to add as a drop down menu. I received I of the defective copies of Crystal when I first started up and I am afraid to touch the "Value"" 17a (UPIN)" "17b (NPI)" until I know what it is and if it is going to mess anything up. I would also like to discuss some other things I would like to run reports on but I am not sure how the best person is to speak to about it is.
Any thoughts on how to track the remakes and reasons, How patients found us (once we can get the values in straight), Who sells how much in a specific time frame (by optician)...things like that. I v=can run many different reports and do the math but that is A LOT of time I really don't have. I was hoping someone had a similar problem and found a better solution.

If you want to track sales, you need to go to the admin page, click on the employees tab, go to your individual employees "opticians" click on the button that asks for employees sales. You can run a sales payment report under the reports section select the employees name and it will tell you their sales for selected period of time.

It looks like the 17a (UPIN) and 17B (NPI) columns there were vestiges of code used in the Professional Referral defaults (where the referring doctor and their NPI numbers are added to the insurance claim form). If you double click on one of the Other Referral options, there is no place to enter an NPI or UPIN (like there is for the Professional Referral defaults). I also did a test claim on a patient with an Other Referral item selected and nothing was entered on the claim form. The Referrals Report will give you a breakdown of the referrals by type (Other Referral, Patient Referral, Professional Referral) as well as the default items you entered. Marcia

This helps with employee sales, which is awesome, but not at all with marketing. I didn't even realize this report could be used like this. Name of report is a bit misleading. Good for general use but not great for the cost analysis I am still working on getting. I have high hopes
