Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone is using Websystem3 for patient communication and how the features are working for your practice. I am finding some limitations with customization, etc. but am otherwise happy with the customer service and their willingness to make changes based on feedback.
I am also wondering if anyone is using a service for surveys other than Web3, like Survey Monkey, etc. I am definitely wanting more customization than what Web3 currently allows. If so, which company would you recommend?
Final question: wondering if someone can walk me through how to create a .CSV file. This is something I have never done before and have not found a helpful resource online as of yet.
Thank you in advance!

Hi there, Just wondering if anyone is using Websystem3 for patient communication and how the features are working for your practice. I am finding some limitations with customization, etc. but am otherwise happy with the customer service and their willingness to make changes based on feedback. Final question: wondering if someone can walk me through how to create a .CSV file. This is something I have never done before and have not found a helpful resource online as of yet. Thank you in advance! I have not been thrilled with them and most likely would have dropped them but I fiddle farted around and looked up the contract date about a week too late. Last Aug they said great new features would be coming with the purchase by Coopervision but I haven't seen them materialize. That said, I don't know how they compare to the competition. As you mentioned, the customization of the messaging is not very good. I regularly have patients comment about the number of confirmation messages sent. They like the reminders but there are too many and there's no setting that really works how I'd like. I send out a reminder 2 weeks before and many patients will confirm then but I don't want to set the pt to confirmed then because it's still 2 weeks out! The other thing is that it is only one way communication with Crystal so you have to go in and manually set the confirmation, etc and recalls are not recorded for the purpose of MU, so it's far form automated. Crystal has said that some systems have two way communication but I called Websystem3 in July and they confirmed that they still do not. FWIW, someone in my Crystal user group recently said they had tried Solution Reach (which was Smile Reminders) and Websystem3 and liked Total Recall Solutions the best. Patient communication is one feature that I really wish Crystal would do in-house for an added subscription fee. They already have servers and email capacity relating to MU and 3rd party programs can't take advantage of much of the data that Crystal has. Newsletter content could be a problem for them though. As for your question about a csv file, I'm not sure what you are wanting to do. A CSV file stands for comma separated values and it's a way of creating tabular data that can be brought into other programs like Excel. Most of the Print to File options in Crystal create csv files that you save and then can open in Excel to view/manipulate the data. If you really want to create one yourself you have to think of the data as a table made up of rows and columns. Open up a text editor like Notepad and designate the contents of each row of data by listing off the data in each block across the row (including blanks) separated by a comma. At the end of the row you hit Enter to create a new row. If you want headers, list those as the first row. Repeat for each row of data and save as a .csv file. Then you can open it in Excel and it will display the table in a spreadsheet IF you put all your commas in the right place ;-). Marcia
