In the Patient-Additional Info tab you can elect to not send a statement to that patient. When I set it to not send statements that patient's balance doesn't show on the Patients' Receivable report. I would love to be able to select not to send statements and have it show in that report - am I missing something?

If you select no to send statement, it excludes them from the patient receivable report. You should see a pop up box before you see the list. The patients in that pop up will be the ones that are either inactive or they are set to not to receive a statement.

I realize that. I was hoping there was a way to not send the statement AND still have them on the patients receivable report. It doesn't make sense to me why it wouldn't show on the report.

They are in a way - it's in that pop up box before you see the report. What I did as a user was to copy that info into a Excel sheet and kept up with it that way each month.

Does it make sense that you have to use a program outside Crystal to keep up with all your receivables? Shouldn't Crystal be sufficient? I would also like to see those balances included in the report.

It does do everything that I need when I needed it. The reason why the patients are separated out (in the no to send statements) are there for a specific reason. Passed away, family members, employees... etc. So I go through that list and get rid o balances based on circumstance. If the patient's balance needs to be on yes to send statements, I'll change it so they come up in my report correctly.
