I give up....where do you tell Crystal what room the patient is in?? Is anyone familiar with the new features and willing to share with me? Thanks!

Hi Karen,
You will need to go to admin - schedule to set up the rooms you want listed in the drop down. You can also set the time allowed in each of these rooms.
Example: Waiting room - 15 mins
Once they have been in the waiting room for 15 mins, it will turn red to alert you that the patient has been in the room for a little bit.
Hope that helps. Grace

The color options are more cosmetic than anything. Fore color = font color, back color - background color.
Once you sign a patient into a specific room, it will turn to that color and once it's past the alert time, it will turn red.
It's a great tool to use, I've been wanting this feature in Crystal and glad it's there now!

Is 4.1.10 a general release or is it still in beta testing? I've got some changes in my template that are using changes in beta and some people want to use it.

General, I saw 4.1.09 yesterday, and .10 this morning. I'm still trying to figure out what's new and exciting, ha.

the new update just messed up my letters template. all my letters that I created that has a drop down menu now prints the word "TEXT" above the drop down menu when I print out a letter for the patient.

Ouch. Hopefully there will be a 4.1.11 out soon with a fix! As for *planned* changes, I've been too busy working on my template to look around much but the two I'm happy about are the "medical records completed" checkbox above the tabs that is tied to the med rec report so we can easily track incomplete records. They also have a QUOTE function. Those are the two main ones that come to mind right now. Marcia

I'm not sure about the Medical Records completed checkbox, I had one at the bottom of the exam tab for the dr to use. The first patient I saw the new one on, it was already checked and I had just signed her in! Waiting to see if it carries over or clears after each visit. Also need to play with the Quote feature to see what that's all about. My favorite feature so far is THEY FIXED THE CMS FORM TO REMOVE LINES WHEN YOU 'X' THEM!!!! Finally!!!!

here are the features I liked:
1. Rooms - so you can track patients as to where they are 2. Time clock feature - can track regular hours worked vs over-time. 3. Buttons to jump straight to a specific date or week - 3 months, 6 months, 1 yr, 2 yr on the schedule tab. 4. Quote - you can turn quote into an invoice! Quotes do not show up on patient receivable as it's just a quote.

FYI, I also noticed that the ARRA fields show up as being editable (typically they are locked) in edit med recs but when you save the template, the changes revert to the original setting so don't bother editing text or labels or anything.
Also someone in my user group reported the medical records completed checkbox is possessed as KizerOpt mentioned. Also, the Update Log says to track completed exams in the daily report but they are tracked in the Medical Records Report.

I had my exam set up so it will print out letters/summary/education material based on what diagnosis code I used and when I close out the exam it will prompt me if I want to print out these items. With the new update it doesn't do that anymore. fix?

Is there any way to link the room the patient in to the computer in that room so it auto-updates the room instead of having to pick from the drop down?

I think they just checked all existing med recs at the time of the update. Was this person imported form online forms earlier that day, before the update? It works really well in the med rec reports with the incomplete records highlighted in red AND, now when you click on the record it goes to THAT exam (thank you CPM) and puts you in edit mode (a bonus). It's a little slow but it's sweet. Much better than any workaround I've heard for tracking records. Marcia

Can you guys explain how the "Medical Records Completed Checkbox" works? I'm not sure I understand what it's for.
Thank you. Andy
