We started using Demandforce to manage emailed patient communications but I was hoping to be able to still print postcards from Crystal. I don't want to duplicate sending postcards to patients who have already received an email- but in the current recall report you can only pull the patients by date. If it was possible to filter out patients who have an email address in the system and then print patient postcards that would be great.

If you have Word (2003 or higher?) you can do it via the Correspondence Report and the attached 4-UP postcard Word template file (which you can edit to include your return address and recall message if you want). On the first page of the Correspondence Report settings set Valid Email to No and Valid Mailing Address to Yes. Then go to the second page and set your recall types and recall date ranges and generate the report. When the list pops up you can scroll through and make sure the addresses look good. If you see something amiss you can go to that patient from the report and correct it but you'll have to regenerate the report. Select the Sending Patient Reminders checkbox at the bottom of the report if you want to count the reminders for Meaningful Use. Then select Print with MS Word and select the attached 4-UP postcard template file to merge the data then print the resulting Word doc. Marcia

I forgot to mention that I tried just sending out recall cards to patients without email addresses and my recall went down so I went back to postcards for all. It may have been a coincidence but I suspect emails that aren't acted on immediately are either deleted or quickly buried, never to be seen again. OTH postcards are something concrete that people are more likely to stick on their fridge or whatever as a reminder until they actually make the appt. Marcia

With the new update - the recall report gives WAY more information than we want. Is there a way to eliminate the unwanted info without individually deleting the specific column? (for instance on the phone list - we don't need address, DOB, etc) Also we are not able to print the ohone list recalls directly from Crystal - the page prints a blank page, though the print preview shows info on the page.
