Not sure if I'm in the right spot. On the new update on the sign in/out box on the middle top of screen, the newest update expands the box with options when you mouse over it. This new feature is buggy and does not always work when you hover over it, and it gets pretty frustrating. The prior way was much, much faster and easier. Also it randomly covers up the close button (which in my opinion was better off left in the left hand corner). I would prefer to have a stationary sign in/out window as opposed to a mouse-over one. If there is anyway to change this I would like to know. Thanks

Try this - configuration - check sign in list - turn off expansion on mouse

My update says 4.2.5 and is throwing Unhandled exception errors on our pc's and tablets. Have put a call in to support, but if anyone can call me sooner, I would appreciate it.

Grace, thanks for your response, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to change anything. It still continues to function the same whether or not that option is checked/unchecked. It is absolutely driving me (the doctor) and everyone else in the office crazy because that is how we like to navigate around crystal. I think the developers need to revert back to the old way where it is stationary (or at least have an option to make it stationary like before). It is much more functional that way. I'm surprised more people have not mentioned this problem. Thanks again. BZ

Hi Brian,
I found a solution for you on this - the reason it expands is because we added a room feature so not only sign a patient in, you know where they are and how long they've been there. waiting room to pre-test to room 1 to optical...etc. So if you want that gone, go to Admin - Company - under general tab - check remove room assignments from signed in patient list. That will put you back to how it was before but with the cool new buttons to go straight to a specific page like billing.
P = patients demographics B = billing page R = records

Brian, I think I am in agreement with you. I like having the rooms, and ability to get to various sections of a patient record, but I find myself sliding back and forth, up and down over the box trying to get it to expand open and stay open. It does seem kind of flaky, I've just been living with it like that. I have heard complaints in my office that it sometimes won't open, or won't close. Most of my issues seem to be that it opens and closes immediately. Good luck with yours, just wanted you to know you're not alone.

Grace, thanks - that works a lot better. Everything seems so scrunched in there still. I think you could widen all the fields in the box and be okay since there is so much room on the top. There really is no reason to make it expand. That would make it even more efficient. However, thanks again, this way is much better and less buggy. Thanks, BZ
