What does the Patient field Send Statements (yes/no) do?
If we run a pt receivables report and print bills, will it not print them to those people. If so, is there some designation on the report if someone is set to "no".
We generally don't send out statements until the insurance claims have been processed. Is there a way for us to flag an invoice that it is ready to be billed to the patient?

Correct, a statement will not print for that patient unless the Send Statements is set to Yes. When you run the pt receivable report you will get a pop-up box that shows you patients with a balance that will not get a statement either because they are set to No or they are inactive. Once you closed the box, the report will generate with only patients that will get a statement.
I don't believe there is a way to flag an invoice the way you are asking but an alert might work well for that.
