We often do a CL fitting on a different day as our primary exam. As such, I would like to be able to pull the most recent subjective we have for the patient into our CL tab to have it available on that tab. So far I am not being very successful. If someone could get me started on the right path, I would appreciate it.

Dave Dave, I added unique Subj Rx sph, cyl and axis fields, a date field, a Subj Rx button and a Prev button to my CL tab for that purpose. The SubjRx button links the Subj Rx fields on the Ref tab to the Subj Rx fields on the CL Tab and enters the current date in the date field IF the date field is empty. I also added a run button command that runs that SubjRx button to my Finalize Rx button on ref tab. Since I typically finalize the spec Rx before I deal with CL, that info I don't use the SubjRx button on the Cl tab but it is there so I can get the info if I need it there. When the patient comes in for a CL check, I click the Prev button on the CL tab and it pulls forward the previous (CL Tab) SubjRx values for the sph, cyl, axis and date. That way I can tell when that Subj is from. Attached is the code for the SubjRx button on the CL tab. The Fields column gives the source field and the Action column gives the destination field that the link goes to. Here's my CL and Ref tab too. Marcia

Thanks Marcia,
That works great except for the situation that I find myself in a fair amount. If a patient returns for a CL fitting, the SubjRx button you mention will not bring in the most recent subjective since it was done on a prior day. The PrevRx button has nothing to bring forward since those fields were never populated initially.
I suppose that I could link the fields on the CL tab with those on the refraction tab, so that it is always populated any time a refraction is done. Then the PrevRx button would always have something to bring forward.....

Dave Yes, it will only work going forward, but once you complete your current round of active CL fits it will be there for all future instances. I added it to the finalize Rx button so it would be filled any time I changed the Rx. Marcia

I like the idea of adding it to the finalize Rx button. I will give that a try.
