This is a very simple trick that surprisingly a lot of people don't know.
For a quick search for a patient by (last,first) name, enter a few letters of the last name, then double space, then a couple letters of the first name.
So a search for Sandra Johnson would look like "john san".
This saves extra typing, scrolling, and searching.

I NEVER switch from last, first. I use first letter or 2 and double space and add first letter or 2. spelling out leads to errors, duplicates, etc. You would not believe the amount of added patients in that were already there because people mis-typed or spelled incorrectly at appointment or adding patient. Less is more.
