Is there a way to disable the Button Commands in the exam Record (under EHR Settings -> Button Commands) for certain tabs? ie prevent autofilling a tab using Alt-F8 or Alt-F10 I am having a problem with information being pulled forward from previous exams and not getting changed or removed on the day of the current exam.

Hello, There is not a way to disable the button commands. I see how that could become an issue though. Are you (or somebody in your office) importing the information to see the previous visit? If that is the case, you can use the Old Records button at the bottom of the records screen. Any tab that was previously filled out will be listed at the bottom. This is nice, because you can toggle between the tabs at the bottom and the tabs today. If they are importing information to try to avoid having to re-enter the info and not actually going through the info there isn't much I can suggest :/ We can make a button to import previous information for specific sections instead of the whole page. The previous buttons on this tab will only import the anterior and posterior sections. I hope this helps! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Thank you, Erica

The problem only occurs with a certain tech who likes to pull forward the Pretest tab. I'm fine with our history tabs being pulled forward, but the pretest is where issues have come up.
I use the "Previous" button method in a couple of different ways, with the Ant / Post seg section as well as breaking apart medication history from the Review of Systems (to avoid overbilling based on a comprehensive history on a problem focused exam).
If I can't turn it off we will just have a "when is it appropriate to use Alt-F when making an exam" talk.
