In trying to determine how much revenue a certain insurance company generates for the practice, I really need a report that shows the charged amount, the amount paid by the patient, the amount paid by the insurance, and the amount written off for each invoice. I would like to be able to filter this by a particular insurance and set of dates or by all. We need to be able to see if a certain insurance is profitable or not and compare it to other insurances that we take. Please tell me if this is possible.

Try the Multi Day Report - You can narrow down by date first and click on insurance payment to see how much each insurance has actually paid you. It will not show you amount paid by patient or the write off amount. You will have run another one called Multi Day Production. This one will do everything you asked except adding up the total for each insurance paid amounts. You can export the file out into Excel to get a total.

I will try combining the two, but seems very cumbersome. Any plans to give a report with total revenue for an encounter? Thank you! Anne
