The links for "How to enable the CMS 02/12 form" and "Direct Mail (secure email service) do not work.

Thanks for the links but a little more detail would be helpful on many (most) of these.
What exactly does consolidate Meds/Allergies/Problems do?
What do the grids do? Do they display past exam data in table format with one row for each exam date?
When do we need to start using CNS 20/12 form?
How does the direct email work? Is everything done within Crystal? How does the recipient access the encrypted email? Can we attach any files or just items within the Crystal database? Can we use it for recall/other notification?
When sending invoices through web portal, does hitting default while in online documents create a default user name and password? If so, what is teh default and/or where is it determined? How does it securely email the pt the portal access?

This feature simply allows you a larger, more organized view of this information.
What do the grids do? Do they display past exam data in table format with one row for each exam date?
If you're using ABB, OOGP or WVA, they allow you enter the Rx, Finalize, then place the order. They will keep a running tab on previous contacts ordered or information entered into the grid that will remain viewable on new records (similar to the Medications and Allergies boxes on the ARRA tab).

In order for the recipient to receive the mail sent through Direct Email, they must also be a subscriber to the Direct Mail service. As far as I know the Direct Mail in Crystal is strictly to send the Transition of Care file, but I will get more information on that later today.
When sending invoices through web portal, does hitting default while in online documents create a default user name and password? If so, what is teh default and/or where is it determined? How does it securely email the pt the portal access?
Yes, it creates a default username and pw using the patients name, account id, and random number. When emailing the patient the information for portal access, that particular email is not secure. You may want to provide them with their username and/or password in person or over the phone, not including it in the email.

Has the update been loaded onto cloud versions of Crystal? It doesn't seem any different. Thank you!

Has the update been loaded onto cloud versions of Crystal? It doesn't seem any different. Thank you! It has not been done yet simply because of the time and difficulty of updating cloud versions. We wanted to get this version released to a majority of offices, get the bugs worked out, then get you guys updated with the new release so there's only one update necessary. Short answer - next week and we apologize for the wait.

Thanks for the help, Marcia! Update!!! 4.0.7 was just made available. In it are fixes for: Admin - Company - Billing and CMS - there is now a checkbox to "Prompt for Upload Medical Records when creating an Invoice" (several people have already asked for the ability to disable this feature so here it is!) CMS form CPT code #3 was not populating - fixed! Add Alerts in Admin - Insurance were not saving - fixed! Alerts were popping up underneath Crystal windows, making them difficult to see/close - fixed! Old CL autofill fields (23 & 24) not populating - fixed!

I'm obviously behind the times. How do we get set up with Direct Mail so that we can access the webportal? I'm in the Admin --> Email section and it's entirely empty. :\ Additionally, in the "Race" drop down, Hispanic is not listed as an option, Can that be added? or should we be selecting "Other"? Is there a way to link our current fields to the ARRA page? If not, for many of our tests (Neural, Macula, etc), we have fields for OD/OS separately, can a "button" be created to combine this information so that it shows up in the ARRA page in the one field that is provided? The web portal is independent from the email section and Admin->Email has multiple tabs now. You can still initiate unsecure emails using your standard email program through Crystal. The special fee is for the ability to send encrypted emails. I assume you call Crystal to add that.
Individual patient files are uploaded to the web portal via the Patient->Files tab-> Online Portal button. You can also upload invoices directly to the portal from within the invoice IF a user and password has already been assigned in the Patient-> Files-> Online Portal. You can also upload pt education files that you want to make available to patients via the portal at Admin-> Website .
Additionally, in the "Race" drop down, Hispanic is not listed as an option, Can that be added? or should we be selecting "Other"?
For Hispanics race is "White", ethnicity or "Hispanic or Latino"

Yes, you can link med rec fields to ARRA fields. Go to the field you want to link to an ARRA field and check the Link to Fields checkbox. The ARRA fields are all negative numbers. You'll have to scroll down to the ARRA field you want. I don't think you can really do what you want as far as combing OD/OS fields and then sending to the ARRA fields because they want details entered. However, you can put those ARRA fields directly on your template now. Marcia
