We are currently using VisionWeb to submit our electronic claims. I was approached by Apex EDI and we are seriously considering them. I would love some feedback from those of you who use (or used) them. TIA!

I have an office who recently switched from Vision Web to APEX and they love it. I'll see if they are available to give you some feedback? If they are, I'll send you a private message with their phone #.

We started using APEX EDI in Mid-July. About 1 month in or so now we are having a couple of issues. Most alarming of the issues is we have yet to be paid on any of the claims we have submitted so far. We have been in touch with APEX multiple times on the issue and so far their ability to comprehend our sense of urgency on the issue has been non apparent. When we were researching clearinghouse options we too found that APEX sounded like the company offering the most options for a Crystal PM user, and that could still turn out to be the case in the long run, however we were under the impression that payment times and EOB reception would remain pretty much unchanged. We are used to filing ourselves and getting checks in the mail or direct deposited within 7-10 business days. We are approaching 1 month now with over 300 claims filed to APEX and no payments!? I must admit, it has not been what I expected. I hope that our troubles are just a product of the application process, and that after the first few weeks we will return to a more normal turn around time...

We switched to Apex about 6 months ago, did not like them. Had a lot of problems. We were with Office Ally before we switched to Apex, so after trying Apex we switched back to Office Ally.

We've been with Apex for about 2 months now & I love them. My claims are getting paid much faster than when we were using an outside billing agency and on certain claims we're actually getting higher reimbursements. They're month to month billing with no contracts so it might be worth trying and then if you don't like cancelling. I know if you sign up at the end of the month they typically will do a no enrollment startup for you. And compared to VisionWeb? There's no contest ... we'd tried VW for 2 months previous to switching to Apex & had issues with everything from implementation, to customer service, to payments.

I use gateway/Trizetto EDI and Crystal integration with VSP and am paid quickly! They have awesome customer support and are VERY reasonably prices, especially considering the support they offer. I do not get the auto downloaded ERA's or anything, I just send claims and it is never more than $40.00 to send A LOT of claims in a month.

Can you explain how exactly that works. I would like to set up something similar. Are you using the VSP interface to submit the orders, and then Trizetto handling the claim submission?
