We are ditching our old time clock software to use the one that came with Crystal. It's pretty interesting set up in that it's default is to simply summarize the total time by specified period, then can be broken down to specific month (if the period bridges more than one month) then by week then by day.
To see/edit punches this appears to be the protocol: It looks like you log on as Admin, go to TimeClock, select the employee, click on the appropriate day in the calendar. Is there any way to see what time employees are punching in and out on the Time Clock Report?
Thanks.

With our old time clock software, our employees could view their punches to count up their hours and check for accuracy. How do they do that with the Crystal TimeClock feature?
Also is any single report where I can view an employee's punches by day? Or do I have to click on each line to view one at a time? How do I change the time clock week from Sunday-Saturday to Saturday-Friday?
Thank you.

I may be miss-reading this so pardon if i am incorrect.
You can add the ability to see the punches in the reports admin under employee but that does give them EVERYONE's (which is why I do not allow it)
You can change the dates on the report to whatever day of the weeks you want to report by selecting it manually in the section instead of using quick options.
I have saved a fortune due to the previous "honor" system was less than...

The TimeClock feature has much room for improvement. How do we change the date on the report? Our payperiods start on a Saturday and run two weeks ending on a Friday. When you produce a report for the period, you get everyone's aggregate hours on the spread sheet, --double clicking on one line (for one individual employee), you get the total hours for the period in a certain year(s) --double clicking on one line of that year, you get the total hours for the period in a certain month(s) --double clicking on one line of each month (may have to later do the other line if PP straddles more than one year), you get the total hours for the period in a certain week(s) --double clicking on one line of each week (may have to later do the other line if PP straddles more than one month), you get the total hours for the period for certain days --if the employee missed a punch in or out, there is no record of that---you wouldn't necessarily know if the employee missed a punch---this is whyit is essential to give the employees access to running the Time Clock Report --and why you have to REQUIRE them to audit their own report
The TIme Clock report is very inefficient. The output is something like: "38hr, 18min" which you must then, BY HAND, convert to something that can be added up. Then you have to figure out how to get it into a format that can be read by your payroll company or QB.
It's so bad, we're looking at going back to paying a third party time clock software company. Is there any plan to improve this feature?

I would agree that there is room for improvement. I have associates who want to be able to pull their own report to verify for accuracy. Even if I allow them to pull the report, but not edit.. they can still see everyone else's hours which might cause some trouble.
My associates also wants to be able to see their punches in a nice print out Showing in/out for the day/week/pay period to keep for their records at home. Hours worked per day with out the punches is not sufficient.
