Has anyone experienced any post roll-up lag (from moving to the updates that came out within the past 2 months or so?)
We did a pretty big jump forward (about 1 year of updates behind) and after the updates we found that during patient encounters, any entry into the measurements fields can take 1-3 seconds after inputting a digit to show up. Same kind of lag is experienced tabbing between fields and typing, where we have to wait for our input to show up on the screen. This has been a night and day difference between the previous version and our current up to date version.
We have attempted to perform clean installations on the exam computers using the latest versions of the client installer to no avail.
I logged on with Jonas yesterday to discover he was running an older Windows Server 2003 with 4GB of RAM that was almost completely in use by other processes. He did state that they were in the process of upgrading their server and had not rebooted the server in maybe 3 months. I recommended rebooting daily to refresh and remove any unnecessary processes.
Crystal is expanding and adding many new features, several of them utilize multiple threads to speed up the system. If you are still using a dated computer with a slower processor, these multi-threaded features may not be able to run properly, causing lag in your Crystal experience. If you think this might be the culprit, please feel free to submit a support request and I would be happy to take a look and see if we can figure out what the best solution for your office might be.
