When you run the sales payment report - even when you select specific CPT codes - all the professional services codes get included with the report.
Therefore the sales payment totals are not accurate.
Is there a way to get a report by INDIVIDUAL CPT CODE of NET revenue? (The sales report will only show billed amounts - not paid amounts)
It doesn't make sense to have such advanced software and then still have to print a report into excel and sort/cut/paste to get an accurate revenue projection.
Please advise!!!

The assigned money column gives you the income based on the bill codes you select. If you select 5 Professional Services bill codes and go into the report and view the Assigned Money column, that is the payment total posted to those codes over the time frame you selected. If you double-click on the professional services line you will see a transaction line for each of the columns shown. For example if you chose 92004 as the code and you billed that out, added a discount and there was a payment all during that date range, you would have 3 lines for that patient. It's easier to see if you click on the Patient Name header to sort by patient. Let me know if you have questions.

I understand that I can see revenue for each patient, or even revenue for each code - but for example - if I choose sales payment report and run for only code 92083. When I click on professional services in the report - 92083 is there , along with the exam codes related to that specific procedure.
If I want to see a total earned revenue for a specific code - there is no way to get it. The sales report will show me how many of each procedure were performed, and what the total billed was for each procedure - there needs to be one more column showing what the "net" income or assigned income was for each procedure as well - so we can see what we ACTUALLY EARNED for each code as a group - not for an individual patient.
I don't want to have to print to excel and then go in and manually have to delete the extra codes and add up the lines to get a total net revenue for each procedure. We are not looking for individual patient information here - rather - general totals by code to see net revenue for the office.

So I think what OP is trying to get across is that CPM unnecessarily includes other line items relating to other CPT codes in the report even when the user asks specifically for just one. like in the photo attached, I ran the report for only 92083. The report does successfully find all of the 92083 codes billed in the time period and does correctly show me our applied revenues after pt out of pocket and insurance reimbursement, however it also shows payment lines for OCT's which are often done in conjunction with VF's and end up on the same invoice. I'm not really sure what OP's reason is for needing the data specifically for one single code, but I would use that data to analyze the profitability of certain machinery in the office like an OCT or VF machine. If you want to forecast how long it will take a $70,000 machine to pay for itself, then you would need this type of data. Is there a reason that the patient element of this report cant be taken out, and you could just query data based upon a single code and only show the results directly relating to that code and NOT other codes or payments on the patient's invoice??

Yes - that is exactly what we want - payment data on a single code - and yes - it is to analyze production and profitability on both equipment and single line items....

Yes, this is absolutely necessary information. Line item accounting and reports of net payment by line item are crucial to analyzing your practice. Knowing what trumped up U&C I send to the insurance company is useless as it's all predicated on maximizing my reimbursement. The applied net payment is how I judge how we are doing. Really surprised that data is not available as a preset report.
Edit: This should be easily added, just need to create a report that uses the Sales Payment Report data and aggregate the totals by Bill Code rather than Category. Also, if we could get another layer in the drill down of the existing report that went from Category=>Bill Codes that make up that category=>Patient Detail.

With the last round of updates to the software it looks like Crystal has fixed the sales payment report to now only pull data for those billing codes you select!! Now you should be able to pull a report that will show total billed vs total paid vs total written off for any single billing code.
"4.4.31: REPORTS: FIXED BUG WHERE SALES PAYMENT REPORT WAS INCLUDING SOME NON-SELECTED BILLING CODES"
