So I recently figured out that pressing the eprescribing button on the drug rx tab shows the patient within the allscripts site, but it lists no active medications. If you go back into it several minutes later, it shows the active medications which then can be imported into the patient file by clicking CCR ------> import medications. This is very useful because half the patient know about a quarter of the meds they take. What I don't understand is why it takes so long for the info to populate. I'll go back in there 5 or 6 times during the exam and then miraculously it appears. Anyone have a clue how to make this more quicker and functional?
Thanks,
Paul

I have noticed that drugs were there that were not there previously. I've asked if there was a way to get them into Crystal, or to get our data into Allscripts, particularly the allergies since you want the pharmacy to be aware of any allergies. I was told that there was not so that's interesting if we can. However, the few times I've seen the current meds list in Allscripts, it's been way off, even for drugs I've e-Rx'd in Allscripts! The delay is on Allscripts end. If you do it early in the morning, it may take a minute or 2. Later on in the day, it may never populate until you check it tomorrow
