Can someone at Crystal tell me what this field used for? I calculate the CL type based on the CL Rx but it breaks down when the lenses are different or if it's a multi-toric and then the full Rx data doesn't display on the Prescription tab or the CL order, even though the data is there. I still don't understand why they bother hiding fields in the first place but I'd like to just set all contacts to Multi-Toric and not worry about it. However, I don't know how that will impact other things.

I haven't used the Type field I was briefly testing with it and must be doing something wrong because I can't get it to switch adding on the button commands. I don't have a ton of time to spend on it right now but can later. These combos will auto switch the type based upon what Rx is populated: Cylinder = Toric Add = Bifocal Cylinder+Add = Multi-Toric I'm not a huge fan of hiding types either. I don't foresee it impacting other areas.

I don't foresee it impacting other areas. Are you saying it will automatically set the CL Type based on the Rx? That didn't used to be the case. And it will set to the highest level even if the right eye and left eye are different types? If so, I can remove my button commands that do the calculations and let it set automatically because my buttons commands must be overriding any auto setting. On a somewhat related note, I reported a quasi bug earlier this week. If you change the setting of the CL Type from Multi-Toric to Sph and back, it changes the Add to the Cyl power. Pretty unlikely circumstances but the data does change. I just updated to 3.3.39 and it's still there. Marcia
