We, like many other offices, utilize a patient managing system such smile reminder or demand force. We utilize email address for many things, and try to make sure we have a valid one for EVERY patient if possible. Smile reminder does a great job of "flagging" emails that bounce. It would be great for crystal to utilize their resulting efforts and indicate and flag (via a simple check with smile reminder) whether the email address on file has "bounced". This way we can continually update non-working addresses as patients return for follow ups or annual exams.

I'm not sure but I believe these systems only have one way communication from Crystal to the pt managing system. I don't know if that's a limitation on Crystal's end or their end. That also brings up the question (that has been brought up elsewhere) of how pt reminders are tracked for MU with these systems? Marcia

Actually Smile Reminders just fixed it for us so that when SR receives an appt confirmation it marks the appt in Crystal confirmed. So I don't see why letting us know that an email is no good couldn't work.
