Anyone else receiving an error message when using the search option to add medications to a patients chart under records? This started about end of May start of June and nothing we have tried gets this to stop. Only happening on one desktop computer in the office and its the most used computer by the Dr! Error message is "Error contacting RXNorm server..."

Is that computer able to access the internet via any other applications? That is where I would start with the troubleshoot. If you find that accessing the internet is not available even through a regular web browser then there is likely an issue with data connection. Check ethernet lines and ports to make sure connections are solid. If those check out then it could be a permissions issue with the particular domain account you are using to log in at the workstation. It depends how your network is set up, but administrators can limit access to web functions for domain accounts. If still experiencing issues perhaps reach out to tech support. They may be able to log in and resolve

Just wanted to see what others have tried out there. I did try the things you listed and all is in working order and we still get the same error. Only on one desktop out of the whole office too. We are actually going to try updating the whole computer to Windows 10 in hope that will resolve this issue. Fingers crossed.
