We are noticing if we do a full recall report less for a specific month last year, the number of patients is much less then if I do a billing code report for the same month. I think double check we have a recall date that is within that specific month and it is listed correctly but the name is not pulled up on our recall report which is what we use to send out post cards. What is wrong?

May depend how your recalls are set up. Do you have different schedules & types of appointments set? Plus, the billing code report will include appointments that weren't on the recall report.

The recall report references data from the Recall section on the additional info tab of the patient page. Exam billing codes not being set up properly and data entry error could all play a role. First, billing codes for complete exams should be signified by checking the box "Full Exam" in the admin>billing section (See Photo). Doing so will automatically create a recall for 1 year out, and ask your staff to confirm the date when a bill is created with this code on it. In addition, some patients will not show up on the recall report because they already have an appointment on the books for a future date thus they don't need a reminder. This is a default setting and can be turned off if you go to Admin>Recall.
