When scanning thru old records from the medical record page my boss would like to know what TYPE of exam that patient was here for on that particular date. So for example, if he is looking for the last date the patient was here for an annual exam he won't be able to find out unless he actually scrolls thru each date and clicks into the particular tab and finally looks in the specific field naming the type of exam. In our case the tab is called "chief complaint" and he will have to click in and out of this tab for each medical record date until he finds the date for which annual exam was entered. Seems like a lot of work to find out just one piece of information. Any ideas? Please see the attachment for visual explanation. OR Part 2: I suppose this would be an additional request also (but is not my Dr.'s specific request): Would be nice to have the patient's appointment type display on either the top or bottom toolbar of CrystalPM for quick knowledge of what type of visit particular patient is here for. See attachment for this request also. Thank you. Attachments:

Hi pfec,
If I may make a suggestion - First, I'd create a separate tab called summary (combine all important info from each tab). That way your doctor is going to summary tab only to review old records, on that summary tab, add the appointment type as a field!
If you want to appointment type added to the top or bottom bar, go to Admin - Company - Next to the logo, you will see top title info and bottom status bar info - next to those you will see a button called fields. click on that and find appointment type and add that to which ever bar you desire. That way, it displays what they're here for.
Hope that helps!
Thank you, Grace with Crystal PM

At the risk of sounding stupid - I can't find appointment type in that drop down. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I apologize, the appointment type is not an option to add to the top or bottom bar but for record keeping purposes, you can add the appt type directly on the record itself so the doctor will always know what the patient came in for what on each visit under summary.

Thank you Grace for the info. We currently do have a textbox detailing what the appointment type is in the record currently, but can I still keep open the request for at a minimum adding appointment type to the top or bottom toolbar?
Thanks, Andy
