We like the idea of the "mass insurance check posting" option. We find it very helpful to be able to see what the insurance company paid for each procedure code. However, there is currently no place to post the sequestration. It is not part of the contractual write off and therefore should not be included. Plus, Dr. Smith would like to track just how much is being withheld. We would love to see a column added to the mass insurance table to accommodate this. Would any one else benefit from this update?

That seems reasonable, I dislike adding to the write off the way it is. It should be seen separately.

Like many of us, I am hoping that the sequestration situation is only temporary. We have no plans to change Crystal to accommodate sequestration amounts in the Mass Insurance Check screen. If you are using the Automatic EOB import function the sequestration amounts will show in the invoice notes.

How long before we know if sequestration is temporary or not? Very inconvenient in the meanwhile..... Maybe a column for 'Other Adjustments'? Might be handy for other uses also...

Karen This seems like a reasonable option until the sequestration is removed and would then provide a useful column for each practice to use as needed in the future.
