(Post moved from 4.1.10 Update thread by Marcia ) Just found update to 4.1.11.. running now, hopefully it will fix these bugs. Did you also notice more windows are 'stretchable'? Would like to stretch the schedule and unhide some appts. (hint hint) Karen I updated last night. I know the add allergy window is still messed up. Some nice features added. The med rec report now lets you bulk upload of completed (by their checkbox) med records that haven't been uploaded previously. Hmmm...how will that work in the initial transition if all are checked to start? Unfortunately that won't help me because of my previously stated problem with printing med records but it should help anyone that is currently uploading them. They also added a dedicated PCP (not Referral) field to the patient page-finally!!! I was using the Misc 2 field and we added the fax number to it. When I make a report I manually moved the fax to a new line. Now we can pull address, fax, phone. etc from the PCP defaults to reports. Marcia

We had our PCP field in the med hx tab, not sure if the new one will do anything for us, but I'll try. We do our own letters, not thru Crystal. I'll play with it and see if I can recreate them in Crystal. I noticed they fixed the clinical summary to default 'today's' visit, finally! And it looks like it prints correctly! I haven't found the 'enhanced button for patient instruction', though. Have you checked it out?

Lots of nice new stuff for us to use in the last two updates! Thanks.
I have a few questions:
1. I like the new fields for invoice patient balances on the make payment screen. Very helpful. However, my invoice balances do not automatically become reduced as you enter a payment as the normal balances do. Is this an error? I would think that as you added a payment to the invoice, that total would drop as well. 2. I am now having some issues adding comments in the Patient>Note fields. You can type away to your hearts content, but once you hit save, nothing shows up.

I have a PCP field on my med rec tabs too but this is different. This is a "primary Care Physician" field on the Patient>Additional Info tab that holds their PCP. Although it's a pain to do) you can create a "PCP" database in Admin>Defaults>Patients Page Defaults>Primary Care Doctor with the doctor's name, address, phone, fax etc. They need to call it Primary Care Physician (or change both to PCP) to match the label on the Additional Info. Now they need to make creation access of that database better. You don't don't (Or I don't) intuitively think to go to the Patient Page Defaults to set up data for a doctor database and I don't want to go through several click to do that. A database menu on the item on the top off the title bar would be great place to access/edit databases for doctors (referral and PCO combined in the same one), zipcodes, vendors, etc Yes, I forgot that one too! Nope. Haven't looked at that yet. Marcia

I think I spoke too soon. I generated a Word Template and looked in the available Crystal letter fields and only the PCP name field shows up right now so we can't get teh PCP's office info into a report just yet. Hopefully they will also make those PCP fields available soon. Marcia

Marcia We disliked the way Crystal lumped all doctors, labs, etc into 'vendors' so much, that a couple of years ago I set up a rolodex in Microsoft One Note. I'll play with the PCP field and see if it helps us at all. I agree, it would be good if it did print the office info. If not, I don't see us using it over the field in the Medical hx tab.

FYI. just got off phone with Erica from Crystal. They don't tell you but the notes section has a character limit. I was trying to cut and paste a patient email and it was too long. Who knew?? Anyway, if you stall below the threshold, the notes work fine.
