There are still quite a few people wondering about this checkbox, so I figured I would post it here.
Many doctors don’t complete records at the time of the exam, but instead come back at the end of the day to finish them. They wanted a way to track what records were not complete. When you run your Daily Report at EOD, it will show you how many records were not completed, and if you double-click the number, you can actually get a break down. If you double-click a patient in this report, it will open the exam.
If this is not a feature you are interested in, you can disable it under Admin – Company – Records – Turn off Medical Records Complete….. Here you can also change the default to Completed.

Where is the box they check when they have actually completed the chart? I ran this report and I have over 2,000 incomplete charts. I would love to track this!

The check box is in the upper left hand corner of the medical record. Once it is checked off, it will turn green:

You can close all of your currently open records in the Daily Report by clicking on the number of open records. This will open a screen with a breakdown of the records and give you a button to press to close all open records.

I never realized that report was available through the Daily Report. I've always accessed that info via the Medical Records Report but it doesn't have the option to Close All Medical Records or Hide Future Appts. Why not have the same functions in both? Another downside to the Med Record Report is that you have to put in a date range. I usually use the default setting but once in a while, I'm waiting on a referral report and it might not fall off the list. It would also be really helpful if we could have an editable column to put notes on why the record isn't complete. It would make the Medical Records Report one stop shopping for tracking whats going on with the pt.
