there is a way to do this with diagnosis code but is there a way to do this with procedure code?

No, we do not have a function for an alert based on procedure codes. Can you give me an example? There is a way for you to set alerts based on insurance though (Example: Medicaid only allows 1 routine exam every 2 years for adults) and I'd put an alert for staff to double check when they last filed an exam to Medicaid.

for example would be if we put the procedure/billing code for frames (V2025) I would like an alert that pops up that says "also bill for roll and polish"
can you show me how to put an alert for insurance?

For that particular example, do you currently have your bill codes linked to the values when you create an optical order? If so, you can set roll and polish as default so every time you create a new order, it automatically has roll and polish on the order and you can take it away if patient is getting lens only.
For the alert on insurance - go to Admin - Insurance - you will see a box on the bottom right called alerts for each insurance company in the drop down.

well we don't always create order before doing billing.
plus if we set as a default it's not really reminder but will come up every time.
that's just one example. another example would be if I use procedure code 92250 I would like a pop up alert to ask "bill to medical insurance"

I understand, you're welcome to add that to the request folder if you would like.
You do have this as an option - You can add alerts after the invoice has been saved - go to Admin - Defaults - Billing defaults - Alerts after visit.

Works well for our office.
