Forgive me if this has been asked before but I cannot find anything on this. We schedule all patients 65 and older as "Extended" to not create time issues, but occasionally the scheduling staff misses this and schedules them as basic exams. Is there a way to create some sort of flag that alerts them to the need to schedule these patients as extended when they go to put them in the appointment book? Thanks!

You can create an alert on scheduling. While in the patient chart of one of your 65+ patients, go to the additional info tab. In the upper right hand corner, you will see the alerts section. Click Add Alert. Type in what you would like included in the alert prompt and check off schedule page. The next time you make an appointment for this patient, the alert message will pop up Try it out in a test patient to make sure it will work for you. This is something that you will need to create manually on your 65+ patients. You can pull a correspondence report and filter for ages 65-XX to pull up a list to go off of. Erica
