I had a patient that wanted their records sent to them electronically. What is the best way to do that?

I tried that on a couple of test patients and the only thing that came up was: Medical Records For : Test, Test M (Troublemaker) Guy Date Of Birth : 06/28/1983 Electronically signed by: : Dr. Peterson, Ryan 08/12/2013 Tabs Filled Out
Shouldn't it have drawn out all the visits from previously? It didn't pull any medical information at all.

You have to go to the exam date you want to send (selection at bottom), edit, then to ARRA, and upload medical record. Do this for each 'record' you want to send. If you use current date, and there isn't any new exam, etc info in the record, it will send what you saw. Karen

"You have to go to the exam date you want to send (selection at bottom), edit, then to ARRA, and upload medical record."- I can't edit a record older than 3 days old, and ARRA isn't accessible for older records. So, do I have to upload every record to the secure server after I see the patient in order to ensure the patient can access the record?

I got the quick solution from Crystal. Change (temporarily) the number of days that you can edit the record then it works.

You can Export All Medical Records to Folder any time by going to the patient records and EHR Settings/Export All Medical Records to Folder. That makes a pdf of every exam and puts them all in a folder (that you can choose or create new). You can then zip that and upload it to the patient portal manually via the Patient Files tab/ Online Portal(Add/Remove Files) button. Marcia
